De Kring is a private members club open to artists and art lovers since 1923. The club has 1900 members from the fields of art, architecture, film, publishing and music. Its facilities consist of a bar, restaurant and one of the most innovating clubs in Amsterdam: Club Up. We do not have hotel facilities.

Members of our reciprocal relations are heartily invited to visit De Kring. We welcome you to inform us of your visit beforehand by contacting us at admin@kring.nl.

De Kring is located in the cultural heart of Amsterdam at Kleine Gartmanplantsoen 7-9. For contact details see our contact page in Dutch.

Membership
De Kring is always open to new members. Anyone can apply for membership but you will need two current members to act as your proposer and seconder. De Kring has several forms of membership. For members 35 years and younger the annual membership costs € 100,-. Regular membership costs € 350,- but discounts may apply. And anyone living further away than 50 km is paying only € 175,-. The Membership Committee (Ballotagecommissie) meets on a monthly basis. The Membership Committee predominantly chooses applicants from the fields of media and the arts, in line with the club's pedigree.
Membership fees are payed per calender year and membership is automatically prolongued.
To discontinue your membership for the following year, please email the administration before december 1st of the running year at admin@kring.nl.
